my story

One of my favorite jokes as a child was when asked what instrument I played, I replied, "the cd player." I wanted to be a musician so badly, I tried various instruments like the piano, violin, drums, guitar, trumpet, and even singing. Music was all around our home. My older sister playing our grandmother's piano or practicing the flute. My mother playing Christian or Classical music from a worn-out cassette tape. My father playing Reggae on Friday nights on National Public Radio or dusting off his shortwave radio and picking up  different stations from around the world. Music could be heard as we cleaned the kitchen or took a math test. Music allowed me to escape the pain or the mundane that came into my life. In creating these instrumental pieces, it is my desire that they allow your imagination to expand, heart be filled with hope, and gives you a light in these dark times. -W&p
